Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account on Bitcoin.diy or using any of our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use our services.
These terms apply to all users of the Bitcoin.diy website, including the Learn-to-Earn program, educational content, tools, and any associated services.
2. Account Ownership and Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password or account access with anyone else.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account.
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
3. One Account Per Person
Each person is allowed only one Bitcoin.diy account. Creating multiple accounts to earn additional rewards is strictly prohibited. We use email verification, phone verification, device fingerprinting, and IP analysis to detect and prevent multi-accounting.
If we detect that a person has created multiple accounts, all duplicate accounts will be suspended and any earnings from those accounts may be confiscated.
4. Learn-to-Earn Program
The Learn-to-Earn program allows users to earn Bitcoin (satoshis) by completing educational modules and passing quizzes. Participation is subject to the following conditions:
- Rewards are earned by passing quizzes with a score of 80% or higher.
- Each module can only be completed once for rewards.
- Reward amounts are subject to time-of-day multipliers and daily earning caps.
- Bitcoin.diy reserves the right to modify reward amounts, daily limits, and program rules at any time.
- Earned satoshis are held in a custodial balance within your account until withdrawn.
- Bitcoin.diy is not a bank and your balance does not earn interest.
5. Withdrawal Terms
Withdrawals are processed via the Lightning Network. The following limits apply:
- Minimum withdrawal: 100 satoshis per transaction.
- Maximum withdrawal: 1,000 satoshis per transaction.
- Maximum 5 withdrawals per day.
- 1-hour cooldown between withdrawals.
- First-time withdrawals require a test payment to verify your Lightning address.
- High-value withdrawals may require identity verification (KYC).
Bitcoin.diy is not responsible for failed withdrawals caused by invalid Lightning invoices, expired invoices, or issues with your Lightning wallet provider. Refunds for failed withdrawals are automatically credited back to your account balance.
6. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in account action:
- Bots and automation: Using automated tools, scripts, or bots to complete quizzes or interact with the platform.
- Multi-accounting: Creating or operating multiple accounts to circumvent earning limits.
- Quiz answer sharing: Sharing quiz answers through external channels to help others pass without learning the material.
- VPN/proxy abuse: Using VPNs, proxies, or similar tools specifically to bypass geographic restrictions or fraud detection systems.
- Identity fraud: Providing false identity information or using someone else's identity for verification.
- System exploitation: Attempting to exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or design flaws in the platform for personal gain.
- Account selling: Selling, transferring, or trading your account or earned rewards to other people.
7. Consequences of Violations
Violations of these terms may result in one or more of the following actions, at our sole discretion:
- Temporary account suspension (with or without notice).
- Permanent account ban.
- Confiscation of earned but unwithdrawn satoshis.
- Requirement to complete additional verification steps.
- Reporting to relevant authorities if criminal activity is suspected.
We use automated fraud detection systems that monitor quiz submission patterns, timing, device fingerprints, and IP addresses. Accounts flagged by these systems may require CAPTCHA verification or manual review.
8. Modifications to Service
Bitcoin.diy reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time, including but not limited to:
- Reward amounts and earning rates.
- Daily earning caps and withdrawal limits.
- Available modules and educational content.
- Time-of-day multipliers and earning schedules.
- The Learn-to-Earn program itself.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes, but are not obligated to provide advance notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. No Warranty
Bitcoin.diy is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
Specifically, we make no guarantees about:
- The availability or uptime of the platform.
- The accuracy of Bitcoin pricing or earning calculations.
- The success of Lightning Network withdrawals.
- The continued existence of the Learn-to-Earn program.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bitcoin.diy and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the total amount of satoshis earned through your account in the 30 days preceding the claim.
